The Mystic is one of the three [[Artisans]] introduced in Diablo III. Like the [[Blacksmith]] and the [[Jeweler]], the Mystic is located in the [[Caravan]] area, and handles various [[NPC]] merchant chores, including item sales and [[crafting]] requests.

All of the Artisans will be heavily involved in quests and the game's plot, even after the player completes the initial quests to get them to join up with his adventuring efforts.

==Mystic Functions==

The mystic handles various item-related functions, crafts staves and wands, identifies items, and more. The official description comes from the [[Caravan FAQ]].

::The mystic creates [[scrolls]], [[potions]], magical weapons, [[spell runes]], and [[charms]], and can also [[enchant]] items.

Like the other [[Artisans]], the Mystic can craft items from recipes. Magical and rare [[Staves]] and [[Wands]] can be created this way. The Mystic can also [[identify]] items by performing a [[divinification]] upon them. It's not known if the Mystic is the only source of free identification; [[Deckard Cain]] is in the game, but perhaps he's grown too old or grumpy to perform this service? ==Mystic's Wagon==

Concept art for her wagon was shown in the [[Crafting Sanctuary]] panel at Blizzcon 2010. It's very round and organic in shape, to make it stand out from the [[Blacksmith]]'s very rectangular, regularly-shaped wagon.

At higher levels her wagon improves in appearance, and the wands and other items lying around will look much more impressive and dramatic as well.

==Mystic's Interface==

All of the [[Artisans]] have their own customized interface boxes. They all share the same window and controls, but the backgrounds of their individual windows differ, to show the differences between them. The [[Blacksmith]]'s have been seen in screenshots; they're wood and metal, with forge tools.

The Mystic's is seen to the left, in a panel from the [[Crafting Sanctuary]] panel at Blizzcon 2010. The visibility isn't good, but you can see the New Age-y type panel, with shells and trinkets and a bird's feather.

==The Mystic's Story==

Very little is yet known of the Mystic's character. Not even the character's name. Leaked files imply her name is "Karyna".

There was immediate speculation that [[Adria]], largely-confirmed as a returning character, would be the Mystic, but this has not been confirmed. In fact, it seems to be argued against by a reference to the Mystic as a "he" in one German report from Gamescom. It's possible this was a transcription error, or a misheard gender reference, though. ::No details about the Mystic‘s quest or backstory, since it’s still being developed. Jay does definitely use the pronoun “he” to refer to the Mystic, which seems a blow to the speculation that this is where Adria returns.

The first images of the Mystic and her shop were revealed at Blizzcon 2010. She has not yet appeared in any screenshots.
