How to have an internal link going to a category? i wanna make a link to the Jewelry Category, but i cant, because if i specify category, it sends the word jewelry to the categories at the bottom of the article. and if i dont specify its a category, then it links to Jewelry article, and that doesnt exist... please help. --DxAxxxTyriel 11:08, 4 April 2009 (CEST)
:put a : in front of the name, inside the brackets, and it will not make that a link to the category. Add the "pipe trick" like you do with any other link.
:Leord and I have had "add a bunch of basic wiki tips and tricks to the help page" on our to-do list forever, but there always seems to be something more pressing. Wikipedia.org has exhaustive help pages, but they're so long that it's hard to find what you want. :: Thx mate... And is it possible 2 rename articles? 2 articles need to be renamed, nothing serious, just so it they are Correctly Written... with caps in the right spots...

:::yeah, mention them here or email me or leord or you can post them in the wiki support forum.

::::It's generally helpful to make redirect pages for caps or non-caps, since the wiki search engine is so stupid about case sensitivity. I've taken to mostly doing categories and page names in lowercase, just so I don't have to try to remember which ones are caps and which are not. Also note that one word page names are not case sensitive; monsters = Monsters, since the first word in a title gets capitalized automatically by the page title. -Flux 12:32, 5 April 2009 (CEST)

::::: Critical hits should be Critical Hits.... agreed?

::::::I suppose so, but it's not something I'd worry about, despite beign something of a grammar nazi at times. There should be both pages, with one redirecting. Just copy the entire lowercase page, make that a redirect, and paste it into the uppercase name version, if it's important to you. -Flux 14:25, 5 April 2009 (CEST)

:::::::::I was under the impression that only admins could use the move, protect, and delete buttons? If move is open to all, then yeah, that's an easier way. Moving a page automatically creates a redirect link from the old to the new. -Flux 23:18, 5 April 2009 (CEST)

::::::::::Just saw this discussion and thought I'd chime in. The case sensitivity is unfortunate, and is actually an aspect of the server's operating system (Linux). When I first starting messing around in here, Leord mentioned to be that the general rule of thumb was to capitalize the first letter and lowercase the rest, unless they're proper nouns. I don't know if that still stands, but I agree it's not a big deal. BTW Flux, Protect and Delete are still hidden from users, so not all is lost. =]

:Hey, thanks for the offer.

:For now, I'd just like basic coverage of all the major (and minor?) D1 and D2 mods. I put some very quick paragraph summations about a few of them on the Mod#Diablo_II_Mods d2 mods page a few weeks ago. I'd like to keep the descriptions on that page of about that length -- name of the mod, a sentence or two on what makes it special/different/unique, dates when it was being updated, links to official site/forum/download.

:Longer term, it would be nice to incorporate more of the mod info into the wiki. Maybe not every word of a mod's wiki, but at least to preserve the bulk of it; mod hosting sites come and go, after all. That content would go on a page devoted to that particular mod. We've got some more coverage of Median_XL Median XL now, but it's kind of disorganized. Ultimately we'll get a proper mods navigation and boilerplate set up; so one of those nifty navigation tables would show the essential mod features and such.
::::We want to cover everything in the wiki, but obviously we have to prioritize our efforts and time. And it's not as if d2 mods, for a game that's 10 years old, are exactly the hottest area of debate or discourse at this point. We would like to cover D3 mods as soon as they emerge, but that's a ways down the road. And send me a forum PM, please. My @diii.net email has been acting up of late. :::::Hey Sing in Silence! I have been slightly absent due to a Starcraft 2 Beta launch. =) I'm gonna do a little work here, and some on SC2 for a while. I think I'll start with this mod thing. We've got some more coverage of Median_XL Median XL now, but it's kind of disorganized. Ultimately we'll get a proper mods navigation and boilerplate set up; so one of those nifty navigation tables would show the essential mod features and such.

== Diablo III Character ==
Tyral has been seen a lot on concept art and on the official webpage for Diablo III, and is very likely to end up as an NPC in the game in some form. There has been debates as to whether he will be good or evil, something we will have to wait and see.

Diablo 3 Theories
Many players believe that Tyrael will be central to the plot of Diablo 3. They claim that he will suffer the repercussions of destroying the Worldstone, and has perhaps even been cast out of heaven in the intermittent 20 years since his wings seem to be smoking he may be also be corrupted and an enemy in the next game . Finally, in a Q&A session a Blizzard Representative said in answer to a question on The High Heavens and Tyrael:

<blockquote> "We are not going to reveal any details about that but I can say we do address a lot of the issues that you’re talking about. I can extrapolate that the high heavens aren’t very pleased about his actions. I probably shouldn’t say any more." </blockquote>

The official website line is that Tyrael has been missing for the last 20 years, and nobody has heard anything about him.

Personality
The personality of Tyrael is known to only a very few. We know he is a man of great justice, compassion and hatred of demons, and he has a special interest in Sanctuary as well as humanity.

Since he was close to destroying Sanctuary himself, originally, it's clear he's not afraid to take action against what he considers a threat to the High Heavens.

Background
Sanctuary
When the Angiris Council first discovered Sanctuary, Tyrael was designated to lead Heaven's forces in destroying the "abomination". This was Imperius' view, one Tyrael sympathised with, since the whole existence of sanctuary comes from a defiled union of angels and demons.

When Tyrael witnessed Uldyssian sacrificing himself for the world of sanctuary he had a change of heart, and took the deciding vote within the council to save Sanctuary from destruction.

The council wiped the memories of all humans, and none now know that Tyrael could have been the one responsible for the undoing of all of humanity.

The Horadrim
After the existence of Sanctuary was secured, Tyrael has been ordered by his fellow angels on many occasions not to interfere with the mortal world. He has often disobeyed, fearing that Sanctuary would otherwise fall in the hands of the Burning Hells.

When the Prime Evils later were banished from hell during the Dark Exile, Tyrael helped humanity to create the Horadrim and creating the Soulstones they used to imprison Diablo, Mephisto and Baal with, centuries before the events covered in Diablo I and Diablo II.

He also helped the Horadrim to seal the essence of Mephisto in the body of Tal Rasha.

The Worldstone
Tyrael was captured by Baal after he failed to stop Diablo from releasing Baal but was eventually freed by the adventurers of Diablo II. He returned to the adventurers in the Pandemonium Fortress, the last bastion before Hell, to offer some assistance.

When Diablo was defeated and the adventurers had caught up with Baal to slay him, Tyrael made it clear that Baal had permanently corrupted the Worldstone. He decided that the only thing he could do to protect Sanctuary was to destroy the sacred relic.

The destruction left the massive Mount Arreat as nothing more than a crater, and dealt a devastating blow to the Barbarian tribes, who saw it as their life duty to protect the Worldstone.

The Barbarian tribe leader Anya considers the destruction and tells us in her valediction that this action was never foreseen in the prophecies.

Speculation: Tyrael's Agenda
Tyrael has appeared to humans in many other times and locations to assist the humans in the fight against the demonic forces. Amongst players there is much speculation as to Tyrael's real agenda, but in the game all of the NPCs seem to hold him in the highest esteem.

However, the speculation includes notions such as Tyrael in fact caring nothing for humans, and the destruction of the Worldstone is for some devious purpose. Seen from a certain light, it seems strange he first supplied Soulstones to the Horadrim, only to ask the heroes to destroy them a few hundred years later. What implications will the destruction of the Worldstone have on Sanctuary and how do we know it really was corrupted beyond salvation? Baal had not spent THAT much time in the chamber, and was the stone really so easy to corrupt?

Friends
As with his personality, it's hard to know if Tyrael ever had any human friends, but if he did, Tal Rasha would likely be part of those, as would Deckard Cain and the heroes who helped defeat the Prime Evils.

Foes
More than anything, Tyrael opposes the Burning Hells and demonkind. If this is his only motivation for helping humans on Sanctuary, or if he perhaps is using the human world as a battlefield against Hell is unknown.

<!--
Other Related People
List anyone not included in friends/foes. Not limited to interactions in the games, but include books as well as rumours, but make sure rumours are marked as such.
Previous Appearances
Tyrael is seen in three places in Diablo II. The first is at the end of Act Two, when he greets the player from the island where Baal/Tal Rasha had been imprisoned. The second meeting comes in the Pandemonium Fortress, the town of Act Four, where Tyrael interacts with characters like any other NPC, though of course he's a bit less chatty.

He is not a merchant, but he can resurrect dead mercs, for the usual price. What Tyrael does with the gold is an eternal question and running joke for many players. The third sighting of Tyrael comes at the end of Act Five, when he descends from above after Baal's defeat in the Worldstone Chamber.

After a speech in which he asserts that Baal has poisoned the Worldstone and that it will no longer function to keep most of the forces of Heaven and Hell from flooding into the mortal world, Tyrael creates a portal for the human heroes to leave.

After their departure, Tyrael hurls his sword into the Worldstone, causing it to shatter into countless millions of pieces, and its this explosion and apparent doom for humanity that fills the final cinematic of Diablo II.
