[[The Furnace]] is a [[legendary two-handed mace]] that can be found in Diablo 3 and Reaper of Souls. This item can be found and equipped by any class.

The [[Smart Drop]] system ensures that this weapon will usually roll with the [[mainstat]] appropriate to the class that finds it.

==The Furnace properties==

This item is one of the few two-handed weapons of use to anyone other than a Crusader, since the [[legendary affix]] provides the potential for massive damage, especially against enemies with very high hit points. Many players on the highest difficulty levels carry one of these in their inventory and switch to it at the start of battles with especially big bosses, such as [[Rift Guardians]]. The issue of players switching to this in [[Greater Rifts]] was a point of debate when that feature was first introduced.
