The Diablo 3 beta is due to begin before the end of September 2011. It will be a closed beta and will be mainly aimed at testing the [[Battle.net]] server infrastructure, their launcher and patcher software. The beta will contain a very small part of the game, not even the [[:Category:Levels| first act]] in full, however it will contain all [[:Category:Classes| five classes]].  There will be no open beta (anyone and everyone can test) but to be in the running to be selected for the closed beta you must have a battle.net account and have completed a [http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?locale=en_US&articleId=27087| beta profile].
