Dyes are a new feature in Diablo 3 that Jay Wilson revealed during an interview [1] after the GamesCom 2010 Artisan Reveal. It allows the player to color their armor in different color, there are around 15 different colors the player can use.
System
There will be specific slots where you can dye your armor and in general there will be the slots where the surface is visible.The colors will not cover the entire part of the slot but a piece of the dyable armor that will be specifically designed and built with certain areas that can have their color changed.
