It is where where the angels & demons fought the eternal conflict.It is where Archangel [[Malthael]] first found the eye of Anu & recognized its importance, followed by him renaming it the [[Worldstone]] & declaring that the angels should protect it & where the angels first encountered the demons who sought to control the world stone & its powers & so the Archangel [[Tyrael]] saw the construction of the Pandemonium Fortress to protect it

In diablo lore, it is the battleground of the [[Eternal Conflict]], where demons and angels fought since the beginning of their existence. [[Tyrael]] stated in an in-game quote that he spent 20 years after the destruction of the [[Worldstone]] reforming in the Realm of Pandemonium. Pandemonium is the place where the second half of [[Act V]] in Diablo 3 takes place.
