Class item sets refer to several Item Sets that can only be fully-equipped by one class, since one or two items in each set are class-specific and the set bonuses are themed for a single class. The items in these sets are all Torment-only and can not drop below Torment difficulty.

This designation is not applied to all Item Sets, and oddly there are other item sets that contain nothing but class-specific weapons that not given this designation. For example, the Bul-Kathos's Children set (2 Mighty weapons) and Danetta's Oath set (2 Hand Crossbows) can only be equipped by a Barbarian and Demon Hunter, but they are not designated as a class-themed set, and are not limited to drop Torment-only.

The sets Blizzard included in this grouping are important since in Diablo 3 version 2 and Reaper of Souls they can only drop on Torment and higher difficulties.

  • This means they can not be gambled or obtained from Bounty Bags; only from monster drops.

Diablo 3 Class-Restricted Item Sets

These items sets drop in D3 and Reaper of Souls, and are Torment-only in both. In Diablo 3 they drop at level 60, and may drop at level 60-70 in Reaper of Souls.

Not all the items in the sets are class-restricted, but there are some class-specific items in each of the sets, and the partial and full set bonuses are themed to benefit one particular class above the others.

Reaper of Souls Class-Restricted Item Sets

These sets exist only in Reaper of Souls and will only drop at level 70 on Torment+ difficulty. Not all the items in the sets are class-restricted, but there are some class-specific items in each of the sets, and the partial and full set bonuses are themed to benefit one particular class above the others.
