The only known runestone effect is the so-called "Zombie Tower" which causes the zombies to climb out of the ground and stack up like gymnasts, before pitching forward to land on enemies below in a splat of poisonous goo. This effect was revealed in the [[Gameplay: July 2011|August 2011 pre-beta gameplay movie]].
