More information was released in a pair of developer interviews with [[Jay Wilson]] and [[Wyatt Cheng]], posted on IGN[http://uk.ign.com/articles/2012/09/17/diablo-iii-patch-105-the-two-biggest-features-detailed] and gnn.gamer.com.tw[http://diablo.incgamers.com/blog/comments/more-new-details-on-v1-0-5]. Those details, quickly summarized:
* To unlock the Infernal Machine players will have to gather ingredients from all four acts, so it will presumably not be a short and easy assembly processby killing the Key Wardens. (Apparently even longer and more involved than Diablo 2′s Pandemonium Event.)
* The Act 1 - Goat Nutant Key Warden - Fields of Misery* Act 2 - Dune Dervish Key Warden - Dahlgur Oasis* Act 3 - Morlu Spellcaster - Stonefort* Act 4 - Infernal Machine reward is a new [[Legendary]] ring only available from this quest. The biggest news is that it will [[Bind on Account]]. So no trading or selling or gifting, but you can use it with other characters on your account.Plan - Silver Spire
Once the keys and plan are acquired the machine needs to be assembled.
The three realms include:
* Discord - King Leoric and Mahgda
* Chaos - Ghon and Raknoth
* Turmoil - Siege breaker and Zoltun Kulle
The machine will only work once and open one portal. To open another portal you need to reconstruct the machine again.
Drops include the Vengeful Eye, Writhing Spine and Devil's Fang. These are required to create the Hellfire Ring.
* The Infernal Machine level has “a completely new architecture” (tileset?), but no new bosses or monsters.
* The Infernal Machine reward is a new [[Legendary]] ring (Hellfire Ring) only available from this quest. The biggest news is that it will [[Bind on Account]]. So no trading or selling or gifting, but you can use it with other characters on your account.
