Frozen Pulse is a an Boss ModifierElite Affix that spawns on Champions Random Elites and Bosses some Uniques in Diablo III Reaper of Souls.
This effect creates a small spiky blue ball which looks similar to a Frozen bomb. Unlike Frozen, the Frozen Pulse seeks after targets, moving quickly to lock into place directly on top of a target. Once in position, the Frozen Pulse activates, "pulsing" out cold causing damage and a slowing, chilling effect to anything in the (small) radius of effect.
From play testing at Frozen Pulse* Monster Level Minimum: 12* Available to: Random Elites and some Uniques. (Not Champions or Minions.)* Damage Type: Cold, plus Blizzcon 2013CC slowing effect.* Additional Resistances: Unknown.* Can Not Spawn With: No limits.  ==Strategy== The Frozen Pulse is harmless when it first appears . The damage and chilling only begins once the orb moves to be find a freezing debuff/damage from target, then stops and starts to pulse. If players move quickly enough, the orb will never get on top of a little blue orb target to start pulsing. In that floats around the boss case it will simply give up after a few seconds and homes in on your character when start pulsing wherever it is. A more skillful way to deal with Frozen Pulse is to let it reach you are nearby, then to move quickly once it locks into place and starts to pulse. Its movement was a bit reminiscent of the DruidThe orbs will not move again once they's Sages from D2ve activate, or perhaps the Wizard's Familiar in D3, though it doesn't move that quickly or stay that closeand they can be easily avoided once they are stationary.
The Pulse looks like a spiky blue ball, a bit like a ==Froze pulse vs. Frozen just before it explodes, and it floats around the boss, then comes towards you if you get within some proximity (30y or so?) of the boss. When it's near you it hits you with a chilling debuff that deals slight damage. ==
<!--thumb|400px350px|right|Missile DampeningThunderstorm and Frozen at once.-->The graphics for Frozen Pulse and Frozen look similar when both attacks are in their formative stages, though their behavior is very different.
* Frozen spawns multiple "balls" at the same time from each Elite or Champion or Unique casting them. Each Frozen starts off as a smooth snowball, and they all float in place, rotating as they grow larger and more spiky and jagged, until they reach maximum size and explode in a freezing blast.
* Frozen Pulse appears one at a time and its fully-formed and spiky right from the start. After being summoned, the Frozen Pulse* Monster Level Minimum: ?* Available to: ?moves quickly, like a heat-seaking Roomba, and will set up shop directly on top of a player.* Damage Type: ?* Additional Resistances: nOnce it has found a target and stopped moving the spiky orb will commence pulsing for a few seconds, dealing cold damage and slowing/a* Can Not Spawn With: ?chilling anything in the vicinity.
Strategy
It can be avoided by running away, however it will slowly pursue you but it can be outrun. If you get far enough way from the Boss it will snap back to him and only return to you when you get within a certain distance of the boss again.
