Hello Perplex, welcome to Diablo Wiki! Nice grammar edits on the Attributes. Are you new to wikis, or have you had any previous experience? --Leord 18:33, 4 November 2008 (CET)
- Completely new to this. Just figured I would contribute with whatever I can whenever I can. --17:42, 4 November 2008 Perplex
- Got your PM. Well, I think it's very nice that you take the time to fix these little details. It's a very good thing to see people taking action themselves to actually improve the information for Diablo =) You did right to answer on your own talk page, that is how we usually do. You should also sign, and "thread" your messages with ":" in front, just look ta how I did it. You can also check Help:Talk for it. =) Is there anything in particular you'd like us to focus on in the wiki btw? Would you be willing to pitch in with bigger stuff as well? --Leord 20:19, 4 November 2008 (CET)
- As of now I think the Wiki is very helpful and focusing on the right things, that is new information (regarding Diablo 3), the skilltrees etc. It's very helpful and gives a good insight in the upcoming game. For my own contributions I don't think I know anything not already on this site, but if I do find something missing I'll be sure to contact you about it and contribute to it. For now tho' I'll lurk around some more and keep a sharp eye on the "little things". ;) --Perplex 21:38, 4 November 2008 (CET)
- That's really cool! I'm going to polish up the monster pages a bit now, so make sure to keep an eye on Recent Changes for any errors myself or anyone else makes! ;) Also, make sure to check out other people's talk pages, and talk pages on other articles, as just giving a bit of input in the community makes it more alive, and welcoming for new users =) Our goal is not just to be the BEST resource for Diablo info, but also the friendliest community for it. Are you interested in lore at all, or only stats and stuff of the game? --Leord 11:50, 5 November 2008 (CET)
- Well, I'm interrested in lore of course, but I also feel a bit split between lore and stats in Diablo. I do feel that lore is best left to other guys and gals to write about, as I've simply not done enough research on the matter to contribute with something detailed. Stats and tidbits are, at least at this stage, what I'm more interrested in regarding the game. I guess this is because at this point in my "diablo career" I'm focuing alot on trying out the builds and ideas I never had time to do before. --Perplex 15:17, 5 November 2008 (CET)
- Oh, so you are playing Diablo 2 then? Or do you just have a general interest in Diablo 3 stats as they get presented? I'm going to make sure that the main sources of info, the manuals, get in place, and if you have the least interest, you should definitely read the lore there. Also, they are actually quite good for making lore articles, or expanding on the stubs others have already made. --Leord 16:42, 5 November 2008 (CET)
Edit tips[edit source]
If you want a small tip on editing wikis, check out the Help section. I wrote it all myself, and should be fairly easy to grasp. Also, if you're using a proper browser (like FireFox), download an English Language Spell Checker, which help a lot. You could even be correcting other people's contribs with a spell checker installed. ;) On a general note, I recommend "Sparky" as well for add-on. It shows the internet rank of all sites you visit, and helps keep that type of rank up to date as well. --Leord 16:45, 5 November 2008 (CET)
