Diablo 3 will launch with 5 playable classes. Four As of Blizzcon 2010, all five have so far been revealed.
* The [[Barbarian]] and [[Witch Doctor]] were shown with the game reveal, in June 2008.
* The [[Wizard]] was revealed in October 2008 at [[BlizzCon 2008|Blizzcon]].
* The [[Monk]] was revealed in August 2009 at [[BlizzCon 2009|Blizzcon]]
* The 5th class will, the [Demon Hunter], was[http://diablo.incgamers.com/blog/comments/blizzcon-2010-announced/] be revealed at [[BlizzCon 2010]], October 22-23, 2010. The fifth class is was widely-expected to be an [[archer]] class. (See details below.)
