This information is not accurate, World Of Warcraft in it's supreem infintcy, was never intended to be a MMO, it was actualy a side story game, 3rd person action revolving around Thrall's rise to leadership. My guess is when EQ was released, the idea for this action / adventure game was scrapped, they kept the general visual template from the pic I remeber seeing in an IGN mag around between 1997 - 1999. Can I get a verification with a possible IGN back issue number.
Diablo III was announced June 28, 2008.
