The Caverns of Araneae are located nearby Wortham and just before the Highlands Crossing in Act I. It has a tiny sub-chamber called Chamber of Queen Araneae where the queen can be found.

The following Superunique monsters can but might not always appear in Caverns of Araneae:
- Arsect the Venomous - Instiller of Fetid Decay.
- Queen Araneae - The Shadow Weaver. One of the objectives of Trailing the Coven quest.
- Qurash the Reviled, Spider - Target of the bounty Kill Qurash the Reviled
- Rathlin the Widowmaker - Plague Weaver. Target of the bounty Kill Rathlin the Widowmaker
- Venimite - Tiny and Deadly. Target of the bounty Kill Venimite

CheckpointsEdit
Checkpoints are respawn points. Players who die appear back at the last checkpoint they reached. Players can also leave the game and resume at the last checkpoint at a later date. In effect they are a 'save game' feature. The following Checkpoints appear in Caverns of Araneae
- Just outside, and just inside, the entrance of the Caverns of Araneae.
- As you approach the Chamber of Queen Araneae.
