Skill Design

This skill turns the Barbarian into a furious killing machine with bonuses to physical damage-dealing stats, and it also adds defensive bonuses as well. It provides a way of disposing tough monsters quickly, such as bosses or minibosses, and according to the description of the ability it also provides a way for the Barbarian to break physical damage immunities of monsters, albeit only for a short duration. One could argue that this skill is a very good demonstration of the design philosophy of the Berserker skill tree, where there is no such thing as too much power.

We are only sure of the stats of rank 1 of this skill, and that before the disposal of the "traffic light" fury-system this skill used to require 3 fury orbs (which was maximum).

Development

Wrath of the Berserker first appeared in the BlizzCon 2009 demo at Tier VI in the Berserker Skill Tree, and stuck around for BlizzCon 2010. Unfortunately, in both demos Barbarians didn't have a high enough level to select it.
