Unexpected Allies is the fifth Act II quest and takes place underneath Caldeum in the Sewers.

Unexpected Allies Walkthrough

You begin in the Sewers of Caldeum which is a pretty small level with no events or special features to hunt down. Locate the entrance to the Wretched Pit where you will find Adria being held captive.

Look out for a corpse of an Envoy of Belial as it should contain Part 1 of the Deceivers' Orders which is needed for the Eavesdropper achievement.

There are three Superuniques that you can run into down here, (Raziel, Ningish and Moontooth Dreadshark), but none are required for any achievements. There are no events to look out for either.

As you enter the Wretched Pit a cutscene will play. A Serpent Magus, Goz'turr the Torturer is interrogating Adria for information on the Black Soulstone. Him and his Writing Deceiver minions will attack you. They have lightning attacks which won't present much of a problem but Goz'turr has the Desecrator modifier and can also Teleport so he can be somewhat problematic especially if him and some of his minions corner you.

Once Goz'turr is dead return to the Hidden Camp and speak with Adria.

The quest is complete and it's on to the Betrayer of the Horadrim quest.

Objectives in Brief

* Checkpoint reached around this stage in the quest. This means you can quit out and Resume your game at a later date and begin at this point - in effect it's a Save Game point.
