Bone Warriors are the Act II version of the Skeletons seen throughout Act One. As of March 2010, they are the only type of skeleton seen in Act 2 screenshots or gameplay movies, though it is assumed that other types of skeletons, perhaps more powerful versions of the shieldmen or executioners are found later in Act II.
In behavior the Bone Warriors act like other basic melee enemies. They move slowly and attack seldom, and are pretty much just cannon fodder of the early Act 2 tombs. Thus far, in screenshots and during the Blizzcon 2009 demo, they have usually spawned with Frozen Mages and served as interference for those ranged attacking casters. The basic Act I skeletons do much the same thing, but usually they protect Skeletal Archers or summoners. It may thus be the case that those higher level types of skeletons are not found in Act 2, or if so they only spawn with some bone warrior type of Skeletal Shieldman for their foot soldier.Bone Warriors always spawn in packs of at least 5 or 6 individuals. Larger mobs of up to a dozen have been seen, but it's not clear if these are supersized mobs, or are just two packs spawning in the same location.
As with other skeletons, the slow speed of Bone Warriors makes them easy to take out one at a time. They become much more dangerous in groups, and players are advised to devastate them with ranged attacks or AoE attacks, rather than wading into a bunch of them, where hits will be taken.
