Angels in the Diablo universe are also known as Seraphim, and represent beings of the Light, living in the High Heavens, governed by the Angiris Council and takes one side in the Great Conflict against demon-kind.


Background[edit | edit source]

Angels emerged from the Crystal Arch which was formed from the great being Anu's spine after its death. Anu was a being of pure light, and like Anu the angels also embody "pure" qualities such as Justice, Hope, Valor, and Wisdom. It is possible, however, for them to be corrupted and become "fallen;" like the angel Izual who was formerly the Archangel Tyrael's lieutenant.
