Diamond Shards
Diamond Shards is a rune effect in Diamond Skin, a Utility Wizard skill with great defensive potential.
This rune effect adds an offensive attack to the defensive skill, creating an explosion of diamond shards when the protection ends, dealing 155% weapon damage to nearby enemies.
This seems cool and has a nice graphic, but it's largely irrelevant to a Wizard that's using this skill to survive at high levels, and who can deal 155% damage with almost any skill used.

Prior to the skill revision in February 2012, this rune effect was enabled by the Alabaster Rune, granting the following effect with a level 7 runestone:
