Phlebotomize is a rune effect in Spirit Barrage, a Spirit Realm Witch Doctor skill.
This rune effect creates a life stealing effect in the skill, transferring 3% of the damage dealt back to the Witch Doctor as life.

Trivia[edit | edit source]
The name of this rune effect is an actual medical procedure, which refers to making an incision in a vein and collecting blood samples, in an obvious connection to the life stealing nature of this rune effect. A quote from the wikipedia article:[1]
- Phlebotomy ("to cut a vein" in Greek) is the process of making an incision in a vein. It is associated with venipuncture, the practice of collecting venous blood samples, and bloodletting, the ancient medical practice. A person who practices phlebotomy is termed a phlebotomist.
