Punishment
Punishment is a rune effect in Preparation, a Discipline-spending Demon Hunter skill.
This rune effect reverses the base effect, trading 25 Discipline for a full Hatred refill. This can greatly boost the Demon Hunter's damage-dealing capability, as Hatred fuels all of the classes' most damaging skills. The danger is that this almost exhausts the Discipline, and that resource is required for all of the escape skills.

Prior to the skill revision in February 2012, this rune effect was enabled by a Crimson Rune, granting the following effect with a level 7 runestone:
