Spray of Teeth

Spray of Teeth is a rune effect in Hungering Arrow, a Hatred-generating Demon Hunter skill.

This rune effect triggers with a critical hit, sending a burst of bone out of the target, which deals 50% weapon damage to nearby enemies. Critical hit chances are generally quite low in Diablo III, at least compared to how they were in Diablo II, so this is not likely to trigger more than 10 or 15% of the time even for a high level character.

The only Demon Hunter passive skill that increases the chance of Critical Hit is Sharpshooter, and that's a steadily rising increase that resets regularly, rather than a nice steady 25% boost that would pair well with this rune effect.

Prior to the skill and rune overhaul in February 2012, this effect was created by the Alabaster Rune and yielded the following effect:
