Poison Dart rune effects
Poison Dart is a Physical Realm Witch Doctor skill unlocked at level 1. It's a ranged attack in which the Witch Doctor uses a pipe to blow a poisoned dart at the enemy. The base skill deals poison damage and damage over-time; the runestone effects vary this quite a bit.
All runestone effects are subject to change during development and even after the game is released.

Poison Dart Physical Realm (Level 1) |
[e] Cost: 9.8 Mana Fires a deadly poison dart that deals 100% weapon damage as Poison and an additional 40% weapon damage per second as Poison over 2 seconds. |
Alabaster Poison Dart Effect[edit | edit source]
Snake to the Face |
[e] Every shot has a 37% chance to be a snake that clamps on to the target and stuns it for 3 seconds. |
The Alabaster effect is called Snake to the Face, much to Samuel L. Jackson's cinematic displeasure. This is not the final game version -- this video was taken from an emulator during the beta test and shows graphics that are still under construction.
Crimson Poison Dart Effect[edit | edit source]
Flaming Dart |
[e] Ignite the dart, allowing it to deal a full 227% weapon damage as Fire at once. |
The Crimson effect is called Flaming Dart, and it increases the damage and changes it to fire. This is not the final game version -- this video was taken from an emulator during the beta test and shows graphics that are still under construction.
Golden Poison Dart Effect[edit | edit source]
Spined Dart |
[e] Gain 207 Mana every time a dart hits a target. |
The Golden effect is called Spined Dart, and adds a mana steal effect to the poison attack. This is not the final game version -- this video was taken from an emulator during the beta test and shows graphics that are still under construction.
Indigo Poison Dart Effect[edit | edit source]
Splinters |
[e] Shoot 3 darts at once that deal 63% weapon damage as Poison each. |
The Indigo effect is called Splinters, and it seems to be the highest damage of the lot. This runestone effect causes multiple darts to be fired in rapid succession, creating a sort of "machine gun" effect. The number of darts increases by one with each level of runestone, moving up to 8 at the highest level. All darts are fired at the same point, so this attack is best used when multiple monsters are in a row, as additional darts will hit a second or third target if early hits kill the front line enemy.
This is not the final game version -- this video was taken from an emulator during the beta test and shows graphics that are still under construction.
Obsidian Poison Dart Effect[edit | edit source]
Numbing Dart |
[e] Targets hit by a dart have their movement slowed by 60% for 6 seconds. |
The Obsidian effect is called Numbing Dart, and it adds a slowing effect to enemies. This video was taken from an emulator during the beta test and shows graphics that are still under construction.
